With the association Bayti
Bayti is the first Moroccan NGO to initiate a program targeting street children. Since 1994 Bayti has been working on the protection, rehabilitation, family reintegration, school and socio-professional reinsertion of children in need: they target street children, working children, abused children, abandoned children, delinquent children, sexually exploited children, and immigrant children.
Thanks to it multidisciplinary team: educators, social workers, psychologists, doctors, teachers and artists, Bayti has set up an innovative program of social rehabilitation and reintegration that includes: street workshops, shelters, pedagogical farms, individualized pedagogical workshops, school support, adapted professional training, parental education, family follow up and training for educators.
Bayti developed a working methodology based on several approaches: an integrated systemic approach (youngsters + environment), psychosocial approach, legal approach, children resilience, project of life planning pedagogy.
Athletes of the World relies on the rich experience of the Bayti team to train its own voluntary workers, before flying them on other humanitarian missions.
